Color Red is all about the organic connections music creates between people and cultures. And we cannot think of a better fit as a remixer for us than DJ Spinna. Spinna is House Music royalty, gifted with a special sensibility and affinity for the organic elements that give electronic music its life. He is armed with a steadfast work ethic, an obsessively extensive vinyl library, and the willingness to pursue the full extents of his roots (Funk, Soul R&B and Jazz), foundation (Hip-Hop) and future (Electronic/Dance music) without any restraints. “Taking Me Down” is an Afro-Funk joint by The New Mastersounds (UK), elevated to an elegant Soulful/Afro-House banger in this, his first remix for Color Red.
